I can tell you before you reach the end of the post… it’s not gloves! We recently surveyed a few people (60 to be precise) on what they kept in their glove box.
What do you think the most popular item is? My first guess would be Sat Navs. An expensive piece of equipment, and as most drivers are security conscious, it makes sense to pop the Sat Nav in the glove box when you have finished using it… not to our Facebook pollsters, nope Sat Nav was in 3rd place.
Want to take another guess? Make-up? Women are often falsely accused of putting on their make-up in the rear-view mirror, so it makes sense that they would stash their mascara and lipstick in the glove box. Err… no, cosmetics came last.
Perhaps drivers are more practical? a whopping 30% of the people we polled admitted keeping an ice scraper and/or de-icer. Ready for some of those icy mornings? However, still only second place.
The most popular items were tissues / baby wipes. Not CDs, not a phone charger, not a map and most definitely not a pair of gloves… the item that we all keep in our glove box is tissues.
